Singur deadlock should be settled through talks: Minister
New Delhi, Sep 3 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Raghunath Jha today said Mamata Banerjee and Ratan Tata must try resolve their differences over the Singur deadlock in an amicable manner in order to protect the interests of the common man.
''All the parties involved in the Singur matter should settle the dispute through dialouge in a peaceful manner, ''Mr Jha told reporters here, mentioning that the Nano project is important not only for the country but also for the natives of West Bengal.
He said the pullout by the Tata would result in more economic slowdown in the State, which has hardly witnessed any industial development in the communist regime.
''The pullout by Tata Motors will not only discourage investment in the state but will also create doubts in the minds of the foreign investors who are keenly watching the developments in Singur,'' the Minister said.
