Sandhar Technologies hopes peaceful settlement of Singur deadlock

New Delhi, Sep 3 (UNI) Sandhar Technologies Ltd, which will supply lock kits to the Tata's 'People's Car' in Singur, is hopeful of a peaceful settlement of the ongoing dispute.

''If the Tatas decide to pullout, it will hurt the national pride and we are keeping our fingers crossed for a peaceful settlement of the dispute,'' Company Managing Director and Vice Chairman Jayant Davar told reporters here.

The Nano is a great oppoutunity to show the world the capabilities of the indigenous suppliers, Mr Davar said.

However, he said it is premature to comment on the loss in the wake of the Tatas pullout as Sandhar Technologies has not established its unit in the vendor's park yet, but will be supplying components through its plants in Gurgaon and down south.

''We need to just rework our logistics strategy no matter where the project is moved to,'' Mr Davar said.

Sandhar Technologies is involved in the manufacturing and supplying auto components like rear view mirror assemblies, locking devices, wheel rim and assembly, sheet metal components, injection moulding and dies.
