New Delhi, Sep 3 (UNI) Extending its support to the Tatas on the Singur issue, Auto major Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) today said it is unfortunate that such a project has been forced to consider to exit the location.

''It is unfortunate that a project of such nature has been forced to consider to exit the location,'' M&M President (Automotive) Pawan Goenka told reporters here.

''It doesn't augar well for industrialisation,'' he said.

Asked if this could affect foreign investments in India, Mr Goenka said, ''I am not sure if one project could have such an implication.'' The Tatas yesterday suspended work at their Singur facility and are planning to move the world's cheapest car project-- Nano -- out of West Bengal that may lead to a major blow to investments in the state.
