Hooda invites TATAs to set up Nano project in Haryana

Chandigarh, Sep 3 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today offered to provide all facilities for setting up of the Nano car project in Haryana in the wake of TATAs' move to shift the project from West Bangal.

Replying to a calling attention motion, put up by Congress MLA Karan Singh Dalal in the Haryana Vidhan Sabha here, Mr Hooda said that his government was ready to provide all possible facilities to TATAs for setting up of their Nano Car Project in the state.

He said new employment and other opportunities would be created for the development of the state if this project came to Haryana.

He said Haryana Government would make the land available in the State, if TATAs decide to set up this prestigious project in this state.

Mr Hooda said Haryana had emerged as an automobile hub with many automobile companies setting up their units in the state.

He said Nano was very famous and much awaited car among the people. ''There is a craze among the people for this economic and fuel efficient car.'' The Chief Minister said Haryana had provided base to more than 50 per cent car manufacturers of the country and had major share in manufacturing of motorcycles, cycles, tractors and refigration units.
