Retired armyman arrested for killing 26-year-old

New Delhi, Sep 2 (UNI) A retired army personnel was today arrested by the police for killing a 26-year-old man in Najafgarh area of Northwest Delhi.

Jaisingh, a retired armyman, shot Neeraj, a friend of his son Arun, at 1930 hours at his house in Najafgarh after the duo (Arun and Neeraj) refused to pay heed to his pleas not to indulge in drinking in his house.

Police said Jai Singh had time and again asked his son Arun to stop bringing his friends home for drinking sessions as there were women present in the house.

When Arun did not heed his repeated pleas, Jai Singh shot his friend with his pistol. He was later arrested.
