Quarry worker crushed to death

Chennai, Sep 2 (UNI) A 28-year-old worker was crushed to death when boulders fell on him at a stone quarry near Tambaram yesterday.

According to police, the deceased, identified as Mani, a resident of Keerapakkam village, was working in the quarry when the incident occurred.

Some boulders fell on Mani when a drilling machine being employed at the top of a hill.

He was rushed to a Government Hospital where he was declared ''brought dead.'' Three tractors at the quarry were also badly damaged as the boulders fell on it.
