Nine dacoits rounded up in Bihar
Muzaffarpur, Sep 2 (UNI) Nine members of a notorious inter-state gang of dacoits were arrested from their hideout under Peer police station area in the district today.
Superintendent of Police Sudhanshu Kumar said acting on a tip-off, a team of Bihar police raided the hideout and arrested the nine dacoits while some others fled. However, raids were on to nab them.
Earlier, in another incident a gang of dacoits raided the house of one Rajesh Sahani in Begra village under the same police station area and tried to loot the house.
When Mr Sahani raised an alarm his neighbours rushed to his house and nabbed one of the miscreants. He was lynched on the spot.
Later,Police sent the body for post-mortem. An FIR had been lodged in this connection.
