Meira donates her one-month salary for Bihar flood victims
New Delhi, Sep 2 (UNI) Expressing solidarity with the Bihar flood victims, Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Meira Kumar has donated her one-month salary towards the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for the rehabilitation of the flood victims.
She has also contributed Rs 10 lakh from her MP LAD Fund for providing relief to the people.
Besides, her Ministry has decided to send a team of experts from the National Institute of Mentally Handicapped (NIMH) Secunderabad (Andhra Pradesh), Cuttack (Orissa) and Kolkata (West Bengal) to Bihar to treat the flood-affected people.
Ms Kumar has exhorted the people to come forward in a big way to lend a helping hand to the flood victims.
