Puducherry,Sep 2: Taking strong exception to the reported move of the Territorial Administration to acquire 700 acre of fertile land in Karaikal Region for setting up an airport, the CPI (ML) on Tuesday, Sep 2 said it would wreak havoc on the farmers there.
In a statement here, CPI(ML) State Secretary S Balasubramanian several agricultural villages would be wiped out and small and micro farmers would have to evict from the fertile land severely hitting them.
He charged the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme was not being properly implemented in Karaikal Region.
