Celebrate Ganesh festival in peace: Deshmukh

Mumbai, Sep 2 (UNI) Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today asked the people in the state to celebrate the Ganesh festival in peace and harmony.

''Ganesh festival is a very important occasion in Maharashtra and while celebrating it, the people should take care of maintaining a clean environment as well as social security against the backdrop of the recent incidents of terrorism'', he said in a press release here today.
