15 injured in clashes
Kannur, Sep 02 (UNI) At least 15 people were injured when activists of the CPI(M) and the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) clashed at Sreekandapuram, about 40 km from here today.
Police said trouble broke out after a group of pro-IUML MSF activists attacked SFI area secretary Jinu George of the SES College.
IUML leaders S Muhammed, K Salahudhin and ten others were injured in stone throwing by CPI(M) workers. Five CPI(M) activists also sustained injuries in the stone pelting by the IUML workers.
