Suzlon inks pact to buy Martifer's 22.48% stake in REpower

New Delhi, Sept 1 (UNI) Suzlon Energy Ltd, the world's fourth largest wind turbine maker, today said it has signed an agreement with Martifer SGPS SA (Martifer) to acquire the Portuguese conglomerate's stake in Germany's REpower Systems for 396 million dollars.

The agreement to buy Martifer's 22.48 per cent stake in REpower will be completed by December 15, taking the company's holding in the German firm to about 90 per cent, it said in a statement.
