Christina Ricci's battle with anorexia prompts her to become counselor
Melbourne, Sept 1 : After revealing her own battle with anorexia, American actress Christina Ricci has now taken up a course to become an eating disorder counsellor.
Ricci, 28, who had struggled with the disorder during her teens, has now decided to help other girls with poor self-esteem.
The Addams Family star has registered for online classes for training to become a certified counsellor.
"Christina went through hell and back growing up. For years she struggled with her self-esteem, so she knows how hard it is for young girls," the Daily Telegraph quoted a source as telling US magazine Star.
"Ricci hopes to learn how she can help them get better without having to go through all the pain she did as a child," the source added.
