Youth commits suicide by shooting in Lucknow

Lucknow, Aug 31: A youth committed suicide by shooting self from a countrymade pistol in Madiyanva area here.

Gyanendra (22), who recently qualified a hotel management course, was working in a hotel in Alambagh area of the state capital.

Yesterday noon around 1400 hrs, he released trigger at self and succumbed on the spot, police said.

However, reason behind the step was yet to be ascertained.

Investigations were underway.
