Vice President mourns death of Dr K K Birla

New Delhi, Aug 30 (UNI) Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari, mourning the death of veteran parliamentarian and industrialist K K Birla, today said in his death, the country had lost an eminent and multifaceted public personality.

In a condolence message sent to the members of the bereaved family, the Vice President recalled the valuable contributions of Dr Birla for the industrialisation and economic development of the country.

''His deep knowledge, vast experience and in-depth understanding of the problems of the people have always guided him in his various activities as a parliamentarian, philanthropist, industrialist and scholar,'' he said.
