Transport department unearths fake RC racket: Minister

Hyderabad, Aug 29 (UNI) The Transport Department has unearthed a fake registeration certificate(RC) racket in Mancherial in Adilabad district, Andhra Pradesh Transport Minister K Lakshminarayana informed the state Assembly today.

Replying to Congress members P Shankar Rao and P Veeranna during Question hour, he said racketeers had duped banks by taking bank loans producing such fake RC books. So far, three cases were registered against them.

The State police was investigating the role of transport department employees also in the case, he added.
