BJP not to withdraw support to Naveen Patnaik: Naqvi

Bangalore, Aug 29(UNI) Expressing serious concern over the killing of Vishwa Hindu Parishat (VHP) leader Swami Lakshmananda Saraswati and continued violence in Orissa, Bharatiya Janata Party National Vice President Muqthar Abbas Naqvi today clarified that his party will not withdraw support to Naveen Patnaik government.

Addressing newspersons here, Mr Naqvi described the situation in many parts of Orissa as 'serious' especially in Kandhamal district, he expressed confidence that culprits responsible for the killing will be brought to books.

Referring to the demand by some of the BJP legislators in Orissa to come out and form coalition government with the Biju Janata Dal, Mr Naqvi turned down the demand and said that "party will not withdraw the support to Naveen Patnaik government." UNI MV MSP RKN1504
