Patiala lifts Dhruv Pandove Trophy

Patiala, Aug 28 (UNI) Fancied Patiala lifted the Dhruv Pandove Trophy (Punjab Inter-District Under-19 cricket tournament) beating Mohali on the first innings lead here today at the Dhruv Pandove Stadium.

Mohali scored 242 for 8 in the second essay and declared.

Yuvraj Singh (76 with 4 fours), Arshdeep Brar (64 with 7 fours) and Gurkirat (74 with 4 sixes and 6 fours) were the main run getters.

For Patiala, Amanider Singh bowled well to capture 3 wickets, conceding 103 runs, Bhavish Goyal took 2 for 73.

Patiala scored 99 for 2 in 23 overs at close of play. Jeevanjot, who scored a fine ton in the first innings, was out cheaply for 31.

H.Chawla scored 31. Kunwar Raina was unbeaten on 21.

For Mohali, Gunjot and Harpreet took one wicket each, giving away 35 and 43 runs respectively.
