Lokayukta police arrested senior KAS officer on graft charges

Davanagere, Aug 28(UNI) Karnataka Lokayukta police have arrested a senior Karntaka Administrative Service (KAS) officer in connection with a case filed against him in 2005 here yesterday.

Lokayukta police sources said that Siddappa, a senior KAS officer working as Deputy Secretary Bidar Zilla Panchayath was taken into custody yesterday in connection with a raid conducted on his house in 2005 on the charges of corruption.

The officer who was arrested in house located in the town was produced before the court and released later, the sources added.
