Land mafias shoot at students, 2 critically wounded

Amroha Aug 28 (UNI) Students went on the rampage after the land-mafias, who had come to take possession of a school fired at them in the Ghanaura area here today.

Two students were grievously wounded in the firing and were admitted to the district hospital in critical condition.

Irked over the incident, students created a ruckus and torched the vehicles of the criminals.

Later, they also blocked the road disrupting traffic for several hours.

Additional superintendent of police Sanjay Kumar said manhunt has been launched to nab the criminals.

Meanwhile, district administration has ordered to close the schools and colleges of the area as a precautionary measure till the further announcement.
