Protestors clash with police in Jammu

Srinagar/ Jammu, Aug 25, 2008: Protestors in Jammu continued with their demonstrations and clashed with police on the Jammu-Pathankot highway.They tried to block traffic on the highway on Monday.Many were injured during the clashes that broke out during the Chakka Jam or traffic blockade agitation called by Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti.Police had to resort to baton charge and burst teargas shells to disperse the stone-pelting crowd that had turned violent.
