Protesters stone hospital in Tamil Nadu

Perambalur, Aug 25, 2008: Irate protesters on Monday stoned an eye hospital in Perambalur district of Tamil Nadu after some of the patients who underwent surgeries at a free eye camp lost their vision. Of those villagers of Kanduvanur who underwent cataract surgery at the camp, 29 patients lost their vision and 9 of these forever. The camp was organised by an eye hospital in their locality. Locals broke the lock and entered into the hospital and damaged property.
