Infosys registers Rs 2,072 cr exports
Chennai, Aug 27 (UNI) Infosys Technologies Limited has made exports to the tune of Rs 2,072 crore from its two campuses in Chennai during the last 12 months ending June 30.
According to a company release here today, the headcount at the two campuses, located at Mahindra City and Sholinganallur on the OMR, stood at 10,752 and operations at these campuses had seen exports of Rs 2,072 crore for the last 12 months ending June 30.
Infosys moved to its first campus at Sholinganallur, with a total investment of Rs 153 crore and built-up area of 5,25,464 sq ft, in November 2000, the release said.
The campus is spread over 13 acres and has seating capacity of 3,900, the release added.
Construction at its second campus in Mahindra City began in 2004 with an investment of Rs 1,250 crore. When completed, it would have a built up area of 3.5 mn sq ft spread across 110.35 acres and would have the capacity to house 25,000 employees, the release added.
The Phase one of construction was nearing completion and the company had invested Rs 453 crore with six Software Development Blocks completed, creating a seating capacity for 11,234, the release said.
The current built up area at this campus is 2.1 mn sq ft, it added.
