Centre allocates Rs 25.35 cr for border areas in Mizoram
Aizawl, Aug 27 (UNI) The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (Department of Border Management) has approved Rs 25.35 crore for the development of border areas in Mizoram.
As the funds to be utilised by this fiscal, a discussion on the project was held today by the state-level screening committee headed by Chief Secretary Haukhum Hauzel.
The meeting had deliberated upon the proposed allocation of funds to as many as the 16 rural development blocks across the state under which a monitoring cell was to be formed.
Funds would be allocated in proportion to education, health, agriculture and allied sectors, infrastructure, social and security sectors, official sources said.
