Bomb hoax in K'taka keep people on toes

Hubli, Aug, 27 (UNI) A hoax bomb scare in Hubli put the people of the city on toes early hours of today, officials in Police Commissionerate said.

A similar call in Mysore led to students and the staff at JSS Women college pass through some tense moments in Mysore after a call was received that a bomb was planted in the college premises. A search by police revealed nothing.

In Hubli a anonymous caller from a Bhavaninagar from STD booth informed the police that a bomb had been planted in an apartment.

The police went to the apartment with dog squad and experts but to no avail. No bomb was found in the apartment and the call turned out to be a hoax.

The police are on the lookout for the man who scared the police by making fake call. A case has been registered in Suburban police station.
