Failure of fertilizer supplies to farmers by Govt: TDP

Hyderabad, Aug 27: Demanding that the government conduct meetings with farmers on the availability of fertilizers in the presence of all opposition parties, TDP Floor leader N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday, Aug 27 alleged in the Legislative Assembly that the state government had failed to supply fertilizers to the farmers during this kharif season.

Expressing unhappiness over the reply given by Agriculture Minister N Raghuveera Reddy that there was no shortage of fertilizers during the Question Hour, Mr Naidu said the TDP would prove that there was shortage of fertilizers if the government conduct meeting in the villages.

When TDP members demanded a debate on the issue, Speaker K R Suresh Reddy did not allow them to speak and adjourned the House for ten minutes.
