TN CM announces waiver of exam fees for handicapped

Chennai, Aug 26 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today announced waiver of exam fees for the physically handicapped people sitting for the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) examinations.

An official release here said the Government had decided to completely exempt physically handicapped people from paying the fees for the TNPSC exams.

This announcement was aimed at improving the welfare of the physically disabled people and to raise their standard in society, the release added.

Meanwhile, the State Government appointed HR and CE Department Additional Commissioner K K Raja as a member of the TNPSC, another release said.
