Goa spends Rs 3.12 crore in FY 07-08 on state farms
Panaji, Aug 26 (UNI) Goa had spent Rs 3.12 crore for ten state-run farms in fiscal year 2007-08 as against Rs 2.90 crore in the previous fiscal, according to Agriculture Minister Viswajeet Rane.
In a written reply to a question of Dayanand Mandrekar (BJP), the minister told the state Legislative Assembly today that it was being planned to maintain these running farms in such a way that they can be used as demonstration farms to impart knowledge to farmers and generate agricultural inputs like grafts, quality seeds, cultivation of special crops and floriculture to their benefit in future.
