Trainee policeman dies mysteriously

Barackpore, Aug 25 (UNI) The mysterious death of a trainee constable from Bengal's biggest police training college at Latbagan (Mangal Pandey Uddyan) has shocked many here.

Trainee constable Vijay Sharma (21) from north Bengal, was found lying with injuries at the foot of a three-storied residential camp building of the 3rd Battalion of State Armed Police force on August 22.

Vijay, who was undergoing training at Latbagan campus, yesterday succumbed to his injuries in R G Kar Medical College Hospital where he was admitted.

The officials have confirmed that the constable died in the city hospital but did not give details as to how the deceased landed at the SAP building.

A case of unnatural death was lodged with the local police station.

The body was sent for post mortem.
