Mumbai, Aug 25 (UNI) Maharashtra Revenue Minister Narayan Rane today continued his defiant stand, saying he had raised certain issues at party level and his stand on them had not changed.
''Giving away prime residential land at a throwaway price was certainly objectionable'', Rane told reporters in his chamber in Mantralaya, He also expressed dissatisfaction about the way the media handled his resignation issue. He said he did not need any mediators to meet congress president Sonia Gandhi.
Rane said he had raised several points about the ground situation in the state in the context of the upcoming polls.
Ms Gandhi assured him that she would take note of his points, she would discuses the same with other leaders and then next week she would call him again, Rane said.
He said based on this assurance, he had resumed his duties as a minister.
