Pal demands STF probe into SBI counterfeit racket
Lucknow, Aug 25 (UNI) Stressing upon speedy insvestigation into the SBI Dumariaganj fake currency racket, former president of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Jagdambika Pal today demanded the state government to hand over the case to the STF, if the CBI was delaying the matter.
Mr Pal said here the haul of fake currency seized from the main chest of the SBI in Siddharthnagar district is a serious matter.
Therefore, to save the country's dignity, the CBI should start it's investigation without any delay, he added.
He further said if the CBI needs more time, the case should be handed over to the STF, which has made laudable efforts in upearthing the clues of the incident.
Presently, the case is under the SIT, which is neither equipped with modern methods nor has any remarkable achievement in the field, he asserted.
