MP govt to extend facilities to 19 units
Bhopal, Aug 25 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government today decided to extend facilities under the Industrial Promotion Policy to 19 units worth Rs 9,397 crore.
The decision was taken at an Investment Promotion Empowered Committee meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here. Finance Minister Raghavji, his Industry counterpart Jayant Malaiya and Chief Secretary Rakesh Sahni were among those present, official sources said.
Power plants set up in the policy period will be accorded industry status. The meeting approved a revised list of thrust sector industries after amendment. Information technology services will receive industry benefits as per eligibility.
The proposals considered today included Mumbai-based Dolex Industry's Rs 121-cr sugar complex at Sagar district's Kakri, Abhishek Global Ventures' Rs 865-cr sugar agro complex at Sehore district's Budhni, Mumbai-based BLS Power's Rs 440-cr, 140 megawatt thermal power station at Narsinghpur district's Niwari, Sheela Agro's Rs 12-cr rice mill in Katni district.
SKS Infrastructure and Food Park's development of a Rs 91-cr private food park over 35 acres in Raisen district's Manddehri, Sonic Biocream Extraction's Rs 55-cr soya protein project in the park, Parakh Industries' Rs 26-cr food park, a Roller Flour Mill in Khargone's Nimrani, Bridgestone India's Rs 674-cr second expansion at Dhar district's Pithampur and Reoti Cement's Rs 1,314-cr factory at Satna district's Raghurajnagar.
Other proposals were Nahar Pali Films' Rs 288-cr Pali film unit at Raisen district's Simrai, Khandwa Oils' Rs 12-cr Solvent Extraction Plant at Khandwa, K S Oil's Rs 90-cr edible oil unit in Morena district, a Rs 280-cr expansion of Universal Cables' Satna unit, MSP Cement's Rs 550-cr plant in Katni district, Kolkata-based Rashmi Metallics' Rs 1,900-cr integrated cement plant at Balaghat district's Chhindgaon.
Kolkata-based SPJ Steel and Minerals' Rs 2,250-cr integrated steel plant in Damoh district's Geedan Sagauni, Surya Roshni's Rs 60-cr unit at Chhindwara, Hero Associates' Rs 528-cr unit for small aircraft's parts at Raisen's Tamot and Dhanuka Extractions Rs 16-cr edible oil unit and refinery at Neemuch district's Jamuniya Kala.
Saawariya Agro Oils' closed unit at Mandideep will be reopened.
