Car dealer arrested for having car with forged number plate

Mumbai, Aug 25 (UNI) Police today seized a car and arrested Lalchand Tilani, director A-1 Auto Private Limited, dealing with cars.

Speaking to UNI, Anandram Wagale, Regional Transport Office (RTO) police inspector said at around 1700 hours while parking his vehicle near Dreamland cinema at Grant Road here, he noticed a car bearing number MH-01-AE-5380, which was new brand and its number was allotted in February this year.

Mr Wagale contacted his office at Mumbai Central and verified the number.

Thereafter, he approached Tilani and asked for documents of the car and license. Tileni showed the license but failed to provide documents, following which he was arrested.
