Bunty gang kingpin shot dead

New Delhi, Aug 25 (UNI) In a major breakthrough, police gunned down the kingpin of the much talked about Bunty gang involved in a spate of killings in the last couple of months in the Badarpur area of south Delhi early today.

Bunty, the gang kingpin was shot down along with his associate Rajesh in an early morning encounter in a Badarpur building, where he was hiding, sources said.

Police raided the building at about 0530 hrs following a tip-off, seeing the police the two accused fired at them and in retaliatory fire both were killed.

Three policemen were also injured in the encounter, the sources said.

Three of the five-member Bunty gang have already been arrested early this month.
