800 illegal Bangla migrants caught this year:BSF

New Delhi, Aug 25 (UNI) At least 800 illegal Bangladeshi nationals have been caught this year while trying to cross into India, although the figure has come down over the years, BSF chief A K Mitra today said.

This, however is much less compared to about 12,000 cases five years back, he said at a press conference here.

He said over 12 lakh people from Bangladesh have come to India between 1972 to 2005 legally, but there has been no record of their going back.
