Political rally calls for curfew in Srinagar

{image-j&k_24082008.jpg news.oneindia.in}Srinagar, Aug 24: In the wake of political rally organised on Sunday, Aug 24, an indefinite curfew has been called for in Srinagar and other major towns in the Kashmir valley since 4 am as a precautionary measure.

An official spokesman said, "While some organisations have organised a political rally on Sunday, Aug 24, in the city, some of their leaders face threat from the vested interests. The administration received credible inputs that some of the leaders could be targetted. As a precautionary measures, the curfew has been imposed from 4 am." He said people have been appealed to cooperate with the law enforcing agencies and help maintaining peace and order.
