Passengers robbed of Rs 2.5 lakh in Capital
New Delhi, Aug 24 (UNI) Two people were robbed of Rs 2.5 lakh by an auto driver in the capital this afternoon.
The duo, who were travelling from Sarai Kalen Khan to ISBT, were suddenly attacked by the auto driver near Lal Quila. After snatching the brief case with the money, the auto driver tried to push the passengers out of the auto.
The passengers claimed that they had returned from Bangalore, where they had gone to get admission in an Engineering college.
The cash in the brief case was meant to deposit as fees.
The passengers resisted the driver and try to overpower him but he stopped a scooter and decamped with the cash.
The auto numbered DLRJ 331 was stationed near Lal Quila (outer ring Road) and both the victims were waiting for police to find the whereabouts of the driver.
