Nirupam shares experience on 'Bigg Boss' show

Mumbai, Aug 24 (UNI) Maharashtra Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam, who had claimed he wanted to change the face of politicians by taking part in a reality TV show and was voted out in the very first week, today said his experience in 'Bigg Boss' was ''full of fun''.

Talking to UNI here, Mr Nirupam said ''I wanted to take first hand experience of how one can stay in-house for three months without having mobile phone, newspapers and away from family members and well wishers. Overall it was good. But, a person cannot live like this for a long time.'' He was the first politician, who took part in a reality show. In the show, he had stated that public perception about a politician is not upto the mark. So, when he was asked to be a part of the show, he felt this was the best opportunity to change the face of politicians through this show.

He also stated that he had asked his house-mates to nominate him for elimination, because he cannot live away for long time from his day-to-day work, which was much more important than the show.

The company had signed the agreement with him for three months, he said.

Meanwhile, he took part in the 'Dahi Handi' celebrations at Jogeshwari in the western suburbs of the city, where he had hung a Dahi Handi with a prize money of Rs five lakh.
