Cabinet expansion before US tour: Yeddyurappa
Mandya, Karnataka, Aug 24 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today hinted at a Cabinet reshuffle before his visit to the US to attend the AKKA Conference later this week.
Speaking to newsmen after paying respects to Sri Maridevaru Shivayogi Swamiji of Durdandeswar Mutt in the district, he said Horticulture Minister S K Bellubbi had agreed to resign to accommodate Mr Umesh Katti who left the JD(S) to join the BJP.
He also clarified there was no question of sidelining six independent legislators who extended crucial support to the BJP after it secured 110 seats, three short of simple majority, during the last election.
Referring to Congress Leader V Somanna and others joining the BJP, without elaborating, he said Mr Somanna remained in Congress for the moment.
