Nagaland gives subsidy on diesel price
Kohima, Aug 23: Providing some relief to the transporters of the state, the Nagaland government has reduced the price of High Speed Diesel (HSD) by 50 paise per litre from today.
A notification issued by Principal Secretary and Finance Commissioner Toshi Aier invoked Sub-Section(5) of Section 3 of the Nagaland (Sales of Petroleum and Petroleum Products, including Motor Spirit and Lubricant) Taxation Act, 1967.
As per the notification, the reduction would be effected by way of deduction of the amount from the surcharge payable.
Consequent upon the concession, the retail price of High Speed Diesel of all grades would stand reduced by 50 paise per litre, it said.
