Rains hit Delhi again but mercury rises to 34 Deg C

New Delhi, Aug 23 (UNI) Light to moderate rains hit Delhi again today, even as a high level of humidity led to a rise in mercury in the Capital city.

The rains, which hit the city this afternoon, however, brought some relief from the humid weather in the national capital since this morning.

And, even though the high himidity level of 92 per cent led to a rise in maximum temperature, from 31 Degree Celsius yesterday, to 34 Degree C, it remained at the normal level.

Earlier, in the morning, the appearance of Sun in the sky, coupled with high humidity level, led to rise in minimum temperature to 26.4 Degree Celsius.

A total of 0.4 mm rain was recorded till 1730 hours.

The coming days could see a drop in mercury with weathermen forecasting some rains and thundershowers in Delhi and other parts of Northwest India in the next 24 hours.

After a humid weather earlier in the week, the national capital has witnessed light to moderate rainfall in the last three days, bringing Delhiites some respite from sultry conditions.

The met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with possibility of rain and thundershowers in a few areas.
