Joint training prog for CRPF personnel, AKJ college students
Coimbatore, Aug 23 (UNI) The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the city-based AJK College of Arts and Science have joined together to share knowledge and impart training.
The training programme to impart awareness regarding various aspects of computer-related skills, hospitality management, disaster management and fire fighting techniques was held at AJK College today.
CRPF (southern sector) IGP P Mallana Goud, who inaugurated the programme, in his address said there was no end to learning process.
With revolution in IT sector and and its use round the world one could not think to work without knowing how to operate computer. Though CRPF was providing various training to meet any type of challenges, be it to tackle violence, subversive activities or natural calamities, the CRPF personnel needed necessary training in the field of IT and hospitality management, he noted.
Under the exchange programme, CRPF personnel would be imparted training in computer, cookery, mess management and house keeping in batches by the college while college students would be given training in disaster management and fire fighting techniques by the CRPF, he said adding there was no financial benefits involved in the joint programme.
AJK College, Managing Trustee Ajeeth Kumar Lal Mohan announced that the college would provide 50 per cent fees concession for the children of CRPF personnel.
