BJP demands suspension of AP Waqf Board CEO

Hyderabad, Aug 23 (UNI) BJP Minority Morcha State President Haneef Ali today demanded suspension of Andhra Pradesh Waqf Board CEO Shaik Madar and a CBI inquiry against him for alleged misappropriation of Waqf funds.

In a statement here, he extended support to the Waqf Board employees' demands, saying that if the demands of the employees were not fulfilled, the Morcha would start an indefinite strike in their support.

He demanded that the state government should immediately take steps to provide foodgrains on concession through ration shops in the month of Ramzan.

He also demanded that the state government should start repair works for roads, street lights and mosques.

The government should provide regular drinking water and ensure regular power supply during the Ramzan season, he added.
