29 teachers from Maharashtra selected for National Teachers award
Mumbai, Aug 23 (UNI) As many as 29 teachers from Maharashtra have been selected for the National Award for Teachers 2007.
Among them are 18 primary, eight secondary and three special teachers.
An announcement to this effect was made yesterday.
The award will be presented to them on Teachers Day on September 5 at a special function, an official release said here today.
The award carries a cash prize of Rs 25,000. The award winning teachers will be given two advance increments by the state government from the date of announcement of the award, the release added.
