Rly Board chairman launches cashless smart card for senior citizens
New Delhi, Aug 22 (UNI) A cashless smart card for senior citizens was launched today to alleviate the problems faced by the senior railway citizens in getting treatment in emergencies.
The card was launched by Railway Board Chairman K C Jena at the Northern Railway Central Hospital in the presence of Director General Railway Health Services, V K Ramteke, General Manager, Northern Railway, Shri Prakash, and Chief Medical Director, R N Tripathi.
Some smart cards were distributed to few of the retired railway employees.
The pilot project has been started and the forms and brochures would be made available in the various Railway Health Units of Delhi and New Delhi areas from August 27 for the retired railway personnel to avail the benefits of the scheme.
