Man held at airport with brown sugar
Chennai, Aug 22 (UNI) Airport Police today arrested a passenger for carrying brown sugar men he boarding a Jet Airways flight to Colombo from here.
Police said the passenger, Shanmuganathan(35), was carrying a 12- litre new pressure cooker box. When the authorities checked the container, they found 800 gms of brown sugar, worth Rs 80 lakh in the international market.
Shanmuganathan was apprehended under the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Act and taken to their office here for further investigation.
