SSP Jammu transferred amid Amarnath land row
Jammu, Aug 21 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Government today transferred the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Jammu for the third time within twomonths amid the agitation over the Amarnath land row.
''SSP Security Manohar Singh has replaced Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu S D Singh Jamwal, who took the charge nearly 20-days ago,'' official sources told UNI.
This is the third transfer of SSP Jammu during the last nearly two months as the government had transferred Mr Parminder Singh from the post of SSP Jammu and replaced him with IPS officer Alok Kumar in July, who was also later transferred and replaced by Mr S D Singh.
However, Mr Manohar Singh is considered as an expert in anti-militancy operations with the Special Operation Group in Kashmir valley and as SSP Doda.
