MP HC quashes revision petition by Lokayukt

Jabalpur, Aug 21 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh High Court has quashed a revision petition filed by Lokayukt Justice Ripusudn Dayal questioning legality of a complaint filed against him in a Bhopal court.

Justice Rakesh Saxena, while hearing the petition yesterday, ruled that a complaint could be filed in court with evidence on the basis of which it could direct police to investigate the matter.

The court said a second complaint could be filed with complete evidence in the same court if first complaint was rejected.

The ruling has opened doors for continuing the case against the Lokayukt Justice.

A complaint had been filed against Justice Dayal in a Bhopal court for purchasing expensive flat in the name of his wife and children. On the basis of complaint, the court had directed registering of case under various sections and ordered police to investigate the matter.

Justice Dayal had filed a petition in the High Court challenging the legality of the case and suspecting a conspiracy against him.
