Lalu Prasad assured me support of his party: Soren

New Delhi, Aug 21 (UNI) Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) chief Shibu Soren today claimed that the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad has assured him support to become Chief Minister of Jharkhand.

Announcing this here after his meeting with the Railway Minister, he said Mr Prasad not only assured the support of his party to him but also offered to help in garnering support of independent MLAs in the state.

Mr Soren was accompanied by JMM general secretary Hemlal Murmu when he called on the Railway Minsiter.

This development is expected to help JMM in a big way as Congress has already assured Mr Soren of their support on the issue.
