UT Admn. to ban ferrying of school children in three wheelers

Chandigarh, Aug 20 (UNI) As a measure of safety, the Chandigarh Administration has decided to ban carrying of school children in three- wheelers from January 1, 2009.

School children should be ferried only in covered four wheelers for their safety, according to public notice issued to this effect here.

Gaurdians of children have been asked not to encourage carrying of their children to and from schools in the three-wheelers, the notice said.
